I’m getting ready to go to work, today we’ll do some raal stuff.
I met with Dave who seems to be the head of the SIS (systems integration) group, of which i am the freakin’ new guy (FNG). The others are scattered - one in NC, WI, MI and now CO. When I met this other guy named Brad, he was like “we have a denver office?”
I’m picking up all kinds of travel tips. I learned yesterday abouut the security gauntlet by the A gate in DIA. Well, technically didn’t “learn” about it, since i knew it existed, but i used it, and on the way got to talk to a lady at the airport. She turned me on to www.flyclear.com which is a membership thing that takes a retina scan, fingerprint, so you can have express check-in at the airport. In the past, I was whiny because Jefferson County got a retina scan of me, the idea of voluntarily submitting to it is problematic.
I just gotta get over that. It’s a messed up world, and i’m jumping into the most messed up part, the daily air commuter and all the structures to keep that working.
I set a wakeup call this morning, went to bed somewhat early because i hadn’t slept much the previous night. I am beginning to remember snippets of dreams (despite my weekend lapse) and I was just getting to the interesting part when the phone rang. dammit.
Oh yeah. Great lakes cold. Nothing like it.
