The Truth about Jesus, Rabbits, and Eggs

I was working in my yard recently, and in my Musings, I believe I have an answer to the question, “What do Rabbits and Eggs have to do with Jesus and Easter? My yard hosts a rabbit warren, and the entrance to it is under the juniper tree over by the drumcircle. (ooh, did just give one of their secrets away? what the heck, I’m already detailing their nefarious part of the Easter thing) Most nights, I see rabbits running around in my yard, but i knew from childhood that they were somehow involved with the colored eggs and candy I found on Easter morning, but that otherwise they hopped around and did rabbity things. Sometimes I’m glad my cats are around else how many more rabbits there would be here.

I think He made a deal with the rabbits that if they went and planted colored eggs then Jesus could rise from the dead. So that’s what happens: the rabbits go and plant the eggs under the bushes of unsuspecting children, who find and eat them. The candy is a ruse, the real deal is the eggs, of course.

On Easter morning, Jesus comes out of the rabbit hole. If he sees his shadow, then we have 1000 years of war between Good and Evil.

Oh and if we’d drummed late enough, we would have drummed up Jesus this year.

Hey, it’s just as likely, right?
