movie night
watched a few movies tonight.
Red Riding Hood with Gary Oldman - this was apparently more faithrul to the original Grimm fairy tale, and was more of a story about a werewolf than the “disneyfied” story we have become accustomed to. Kept us guessing for a while who was who for quite a while. I liked it.
Furry Vengeance: a rated G movie that had some furry critters fighting for their home against a doofus developer. While I did laught at a few points, it’s mostly two hours I’ll never get back. If you need to park some under 10-year-olds in front of a movie, this one would be a decent candidate.
The Queen: Helen Mirren plays the Queen of England during the time just after Princess Diana died in the car crash. Enjoyed the movie, the actor who played Prince Phillip plays arrogant jerks quite well, and didnt disappoint in this one. I didn’t know that Tony Blair took office just as this story unfolded. I just don’t follow the royals that much. Helen Mirren playing the queen was a good choice, but I can’t help thinking, when I see her in a movie, of her role in “The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and her Lover”.
Tonight was the first friday, which usually has a bunch of vendors in the square. It has been cold the last couple days, so there wasn’t much happening.
Relatively uneventful day otherwise. Quite on the home front except for some tension while cleaning up a broken plate knocked on the flloor by one of the cats while we were walking the dogs.
I just took my trazadone a couple minutes ago. One thing that I realized today: It has often come up in conversation, when discussing someone who was being difficult or bitchy, that “they must be off their meds”. I don’t like the idea of that being said about me, but I am sure that it’s come up before, on my non-meds that I had depended upon for so many years.
What if this doesn’t make any difference?
